 Summary:In the year 1752, Joshua and Naomi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from Liverpool, England to start out a brand new life in America. however even an ocean wasn't enough to flee the mysterious curse that has plagued their family. twenty years pass and Barnabas (Johnny Depp) has the globe at his feet--or a minimum of the city of Collinsport, Maine. The master of Collinwood Manor, Barnabas is wealthy, powerful and an inveterate playboy...until he makes the grave mistake of breaking the center of Angelique Bouchard (Eva Green). A witch, in each sense of the word, Angelique dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a vampire, and then burying him alive. 2 centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently free of his tomb and emerges into the terribly modified world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to search out that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared very little higher, every harboring their own dark secrets.
